The Docklands History Group organises annual conferences which take place on a Saturday in the spring each year. These are held in the main lecture theatre in the Museum of Docklands. The box below shows the next conference and you can also view the programmes of future conferences and those that have already taken place.
Thames River Crossings
PLEASE NOTE: THE VENUE FOR THIS CONFERENCE HAS NOW BEEN MOVED TO THE MUSEUM OF LONDON, LONDON WALL
This conference will explore the development of bridges, tunnels and ferries across the Thames. It will look at how the watermen were affected by the new crossings and the effect of river crossings on the development of London and its port and the communities along the riverside.
