The Docklands History Group organises annual conferences which take place on a Saturday in the spring each year. These are held in the Weston Theatre of the Museum of London. The box below shows the next conference and you can also view the programmes of future conferences and those that have already taken place.
The Group organises an annual seminar for new researchers. If you are a post-graduate student or a post-graduate researcher carrying out research on a topic relating to the history of the Port of London and the River Thames and would be interested in contributing a paper at a future New Researchers conference, pleaseClick Here to send an email to Admin@docklandshistorygroup.org.uk. THE MEDIEVAL PORT OF LONDON
This conference will look at all aspects of the Medieval Port of London. It will look at the city and trade, merchants and overseas trade, ships and boats used in the port, how the river was managed, the medieval waterfront, archaeological finds relating to the port and more.
