HOW TO GET TO THE MUSEUM OF LONDON DOCKLANDS

The Museum of London Docklands is located on West India Quay which is adjacent to Hertsmere Road

The nearest stations are West India Quay (DLR)  (300 yds),  Westferry (DLR)   (400yds)  Canary Wharf (Jubilee Line)  (750 yds).  Would you please note that Lewisham-bound trains on the DLR do not stop at West India Quay in the rush hour so please alight at Westferry.

For those coming by car, there is no parking provided by the Museum.  However, there is a multi-storey car-park accessible from a short length of road opposite the rear entrance of the Museum  just off Hertsmere Road.  The entrance is on the right towards the end and is clearly marked.  The pedestrian entrance is directly on to Hertsmere Road at the opposite end of the building to the vehicular entrance.

The main entrance to the Museum of Docklands, which is accessed directly from West India Quay  and lies behind the statue of Robert Milligan, usually remains open until 6:00 in the evening. However, if you are late arriving or if it is closed for some other reason, please use the basement entrance at the rear which is down a short flight of steps.   There is a button to the right of the door and if you press this the security guard will let you in.

All of the above are marked on the map and if you hover the mouse over the markers you will see which is which.
